Generosity is what brings us together
We give because God first gave to us. Not out of obligation, but out of gratitude for His grace and a desire to see His kingdom grow here in the Connecticut River Valley and around the world.
WHY
WE GIVE
Giving isn’t about guilt or obligation, it’s about worship. As followers of Jesus, we give in response to the grace and generosity God has shown us. He gave His Son. He gave us forgiveness. He gave us new life. He gave us purpose, hope, and a family.
Our giving is simply our way of saying, "Thank You." The Bible calls this "cheerful giving," not reluctant, not compulsory, but joyful and willing (2 Corinthians 9:7). It's giving that flows from a heart that's been changed by the gospel. When we truly grasp what Jesus has done for us, generosity becomes a natural response. We don't give to earn God's favor, we already have that through Christ.
We give because we've experienced His lavish grace and we want to extend that grace to others. All of us are invited to participate in what God is doing at Valley and beyond. Whether it's your first gift or your thousandth, every act of generosity matters.
Your generosity makes it possible for us to gather every Sunday to worship together, to teach God's Word with clarity and depth, to care for our community through outreach and benevolence, to support missionaries around the world, and to equip the next generation to follow Jesus. When you give to Valley, you're investing in changed lives, both here in the Connecticut River Valley and around the globe.
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart,

Drop your gift in one of the collection boxes in the lobby on Sunday morning, or stop by the church office during the week.

Give securely online with a one-time gift or set up recurring giving. You can also designate your gift to a specific ministry or missions fund.

You can give anytime! Many people give during our Sunday worship service as an act of worship, but you can also give online or via text throughout the week whenever it's convenient. If you set up recurring giving, your gift will be processed automatically on your chosen schedule.

Gifts to the general fund support all aspects of Valley's ministry; worship, teaching, pastoral care, facilities, and operations. Designated gifts are directed to specific areas like missions, benevolence, building projects, or ministry funds. Both are important and needed. If you're unsure where to give, the general fund allows church leadership to allocate resources where they're most needed.

We're grateful for any way you want to support Valley's ministry! If you'd like to donate goods (such as supplies for a specific ministry) or services (such as professional expertise), please contact the church office to discuss how your gift can best serve our mission.

Valley partners with several missionaries and missions organizations. If you'd like to support a specific missionary we partner with, you can designate your gift when you give online or write the missionary's name in the memo line of your check. If you're unsure which missionaries we support, contact the church office for a list.
